Caprivi, also known as the Caprivi Strip, is the wettest region of Namibia, with high humidity and a tropical climate. Having the highest rainfall in Namibia, game - particularly elephants - is abundant.

The Caprivi is the gateway to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and the Chobe National Park, making the Caprivi a good central location. The Mahango Game Park and the Mudumu National Park in Caprivi are also home to some of the finest lodges.

Both are in close proximity to the beautiful Okavango River which flows through this region before feeding the Okavango Delta, and the Kwando which eventually becomes the Chobe river. Katima Mulilo is situated right in the east near where Zambia, Angola and Botswana come together. 

In this area can be found some beautiful island lodges where one can enjoy the birdlife, fishing, outings on the beautiful rivers, and game activities on the mainland.
